MINK: One of the hottest rock acts to hit New York in recent years, Mink have catapulted from what was originally a raucous late night jam between friends to a huge live success. From their base in native Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Mink fronted by charismatic lead singer/songwriter and finalist from last years RockStar INXS show, Neal Carlson, have taken the city by storm. Alongside Carlson, Nick Maybury (lead guitar), Grant Fitzpatrick (bass), David Lowy (rhythm guitar) and striking female powerhouse Stella Mozgawa (drums) have combined to set Mink's lean, mean rock sound with a new precedent.
COG: Hailing from Bondi, Sydney, Australia COG consist of members Flynn Gower (Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals), Lucius Borich (Drums, Samples, Backing Vocals) & Luke Gower (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals) have been a band since 1998. Organic in the sense that COG play their instruments, some say COG's music resembles some sort of progressive rock that flows effortlessly from thick slabs of distorted guitars, twisting rhythms through to vast playgrounds of ambient organospace and back again.
ANIMAL ALPHA: Animal who...? That was the words that came out of Nick Nolte when he saw Animal Alpha in Oslo. Already on their 5th gig they were spotted by Hollywood! Nick Nolte went all the way to the front row among 2000 punters, rocking out inkognito, wearing hat, sunglasses and a coat in the Norwegian summerheat. One year later Animal Alpha have recorded their debut album with Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System Of A Down, R.E.M, Smashing Pumpkins etc..) at Radiostars Studios in Weed, California. Their first single Bundy have been picked by EA games to appear on both Burnout revenge and NHL 2006.
