Since emerging on the famed LA music scene in 2002, Kris Bradley has been hailed as a truly special talent. With her powerful, distinctive voice and her rasping, overtone-rich bluesy rock sound she is significantly divergent from the soft folk and jazz-influenced style that many female singers fall into.
Born in a small town outside of North Hollywood in 1983, a self-described shy loner turned to music and hasn’t looked back since. From her impeccable piano skills garnered through years of classical training to the fluidity of her guitar playing, Bradley is an intoxicating musician and lyricist with an innate talent to convey powerful and haunting emotion through her songs reminiscent of such legends like Janis Joplin, Robert Plant and Steven Tyler
A seasoned performer with an impeccable ear, Bradley quickly became a fixture on the infamous Sunset Strip circuit appearing at such venues like; Cat Club, Knitting Factory, Key Club, Canyon Club, BB Kings, The Gig and The Joint quickly drawing a local following for her increasingly powerful material and hypnotizing presence. In addition to sharing the stage with Axl Rose, Larry Dean, Carol Rodgers, Dizzy, Gilby and John Corabi, she has also performed at a Hurricane Katrina Benefit, a far cry from her first gig with a tribute band at a Jewish carnival.
It is Bradley’s ability to combine evocative melodies with intricately structured unanticipated lyrics that earned her a full write up in City Beat Magazine as well as a nomination for best female vocal in All Access Magazine Los Angeles. With her commanding stage presence and raw seductive sound Kris Bradley is a genuinely rare and refreshing find in the colorless suffocating world of music today.
