Nimeo

Nimeo is a French songwriter currently living in Sydney. His music is inspired by various influences coming from his French background with artists such as Noir Desir and the international music scene: Van Morrison, The Doors, Iron & Wine, Tom Waits... At 15 he held his first guitar and 2 years later he performed on stage with a band in Bordeaux (France) as guitarist. After this experience he started to play and write his own songs. His lyrics are inspired by dreams and reality and through them we can share his unique view of the world. The name Nimeo reflects this as it is anagram of the french expression "En Moi" wich means "In Me". One year ago he decides to go solo and come to Australia to challenge his music and gain perspectives on life. Making a living from busking across Sydney, Nimeo soon runs into a fellow busker Dave (saxaphone) and embarks on a musical collaboration that sees them soon gigging around the inner west. A chance meeting with yet another busker Leslie (drums) and Andrew (Double bass) the quad is complete and the gigs started to roll in. The group still does a lot of busking and often use their time on the street to rehearse songs for their live shows.Nimeo is a four piece group consisting of vocals, guitar, saxaphone bass and drums. The sound is an upbeat, hi energy mix reasonably conducive to frenetic dancing. * ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------Nimeo est un Auteur compositeur Français vivant présentement à Sydney. Sa musique est inspirée par différentes infuences venant de Noir désir à Van Morrison…… The Doors, Ani Difranco à Tom Waits.Quinze ans, sa première guitare en main, une première expérience de deux ans en tant que guitariste dans un groupe de Bordeaux, lui donnera ensuite l’envie de composer et chanter ses premières chansons. Avec des textes-emprunts d’onirisme et de réalité, il partage sa vision intérieure du monde qui nous entourent…Le nom Nimeo reflète bien sa personnalité étant l'anagramme de"En Moi" Il décide de jouer solo et vient en Australie pour se lancer un défi musical et acquérir de nouvelle expériences de toute sorte. *
