Ed Meme & The Forms

File under H for Heavy

About Me

Ed Meme & The Forms were formed late in 2006 by producer and musician Glenn Fallows to indulge a love of scratchy, heavy, dirty old funk. Inspired by playing at Madame Jojo's with Keb Darge, whilst doing the circuit in London, and from hunting down some of the whoringest, naughtiest and not-for-the-feint-heartedest funk tracks since, Ed Meme & The Forms has essentially become a cheaper and more pleasurable alternative to going into therapy.

Featuring dirty hammond, searing soul vocals, heavy horns and a rhythm section that drives like Satan's own Maserati, this is a live experience you can't afford to miss ...
... And music you can afford to buy ... from here:'Just Enough Rope' EP - Debut EP release Feb '08

Daptone and Desco records, Keb Darge, Snowboy, The Daktaris, The New Mastersounds, The late, great Mr James Brown, The Mohawks, Mandrill, Booker T & the MGs, Lee Fields, Ike but not so much Tina Turner, Sly Stone, Bootsy, Eddie Hazel, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Billy Ball & the Upsetters, Society, Malcom Catto, Jazzman Gerald, Andy from Funk45.com, Jimmy Smith, Speedometer, Snowboy, Josh Davis, The Dap Kings, Kay Dee records, Stones Throw records, 400 different versions of Cissy Strut, Grandma's Funky Popcorn, cheese dreams, Bhubba Thomas & The Lightmen Plus One (i've only got one of their records, but that's the best band name i've ever heard) and all those bands that made dirty, dirty funk in the 60s and 70s and all those beautiful people who've been digging around dusty warehouses since so we can hear it. Cheers.
Sounds Like: emptying the contents of your cutlery draw into your washing machine and turning it on. ... in a good way.
