Following on from our wicked party in April, Nish Nish are pleased to be making our monthly return to Platinum, one of the best venues in London and the perfect spot to indulge our love of diversity across it’s four floors and four dancefloors. This month we have a few of our favourite party starters making their Nish Nish debuts as well as the return of some of our favourite guests as well.
First up is the man like Jon Carter….who unless you have had your head stuck in your ass for the last two decades should need no introduction. What hasn’t he done? Resident at legendary and scene defining clubs such as Heavenly Social and Manumission, top drawer producer and remixer of some of the worlds biggest artists under guises like Junior Cartier and Monkey Mafia, Global Dj, creator of some of the best mix cds ever made…..I could go on. We have managed to pin him down for a rare London gig, expect a unique selection of premium qualitat eclectronik sonics…just the way we likes it…
Making their Nish Nish debut we have the Man Make Music DJs. Regulars at east London institutions like Trailer Trash and Wet Yourself they have also been responsible for some of the most cutting edge, unpretentious and upfront parties across London this year. From illegal warehouse parties with 10k sound rigs to the most distinguished London night spots such as The End, MMM have rocked them all, showcasing the biggest and best names in UK underground dance culture. 2008 has seen MMM accumulate a swathe of support from London party-goers, performing artists and press hacks alike all impressed by the MMM team's uncompromising attitude to eclectic quality music with a welcoming good-time party spirit, we are delighted to have them down.
Making a welcome return are two of our favourite DJs and producers, Nico De Ceglia and Dean Muhsin, Promoters of the Codex nights at AKA. Nico is also heavily involved with programming Radio shows, such as Radio One’s essential mix, whilst Dean is the force behind the dispersion music PR company and records under the moniker of Bearweasel, so expect a refreshing, deep and upfront mix taking in all aspects of quality electronic music, encompassing house, techno and cosmic balearica...
Another act on their Debut are Detakid, two of our favourite new djs and producers. Playing a refreshing blend of minimal techno and eclectro, they have been rocking the life out of some of the best venues, hosting nights at the infamous Loft and also making a name for themselves around london, guesting at venues such as 54 and the infamous public life
.
The rest is up to the Nish Nish resident presidents. Ben and Smit Nish Nish will be playing a trademark block rocking and genre bending set, Mitch will be taking care of the Balearic and deeper side of things and Nelly Jay will be rounding of the edges with a dash of bouncy minimalism and quality house music. Nice One.
