BIOGRAPHY: UONE (BEEF REC. GREEN ANT. LAB )
UONE is one of the most exciting DJ’s to come out of Australia in recent years. Hailing from Melbourne. DJing locally and internationally for close to 6 years, he is signed up with BEEF records & GREEN ANT as label DJ and A&R representative. Striving to DJ and make a primal brand of deep and twisted dance music. UONE draws on elements from progressive, minimal, techno, and house, being not afraid to cross genres.
With an attitude that is constantly changing and ever eager to evolve, UOne's music remains on the underground. UOne is not that kind of artist who likes to hide behind the mixing-console performing isolated. It’s about his friendly and extroverted personality always trying to be as close as possible to the crowd constantly motivated to “rock the house†together. UOne’s DJ-style is defined by precise mixing, endless transitions and perfect arranged cuts and effect sequences.
On December 14th 2007 UONE was interviewed on ABC’s Triple JJJ show called The Club' hosted by Nicole Foote. The interview focused on UONE’s mix CD called Grominal. Grominal is sound/genre that represents the records UONE has been playing for the year 2007, which is a mixture of deep progressive minimal house and techno.
UONE's debut release on Russian label DISOMA records reached #1 on the progressive house charts in August 2008, with releases due on Moonbeam Digital and Planterium Recordings early next year.
UONE has supported many of his major influences including Carl Cox, Kasey Taylor, Pig & Dan, Dnox & Beckers, Alex Smoke, Extrawelt/Midimills, Monolake, Someone Else, Butane, Ripperton, DJ Three, Moonbeam, Shades Of Gray, Solead, Steve Bug, Funk D'Void, Justin Martin, Antix/Fiord, Ricardo Villalobos, Matthew Dear, Richie Hawtin, Format B, Gui Boratto, Sven Vath, Joel Mull, Adam Beyer, Derrick May, Solead, Tigerskin and Tiefschwarz.
Having played at all major festivals inside Australia including Rainbow Serpent (market stage), Earthcore Global Carnival (hydra trance stage). Maitreya Festival and both summer and winter solstices festival it was time to embark on his first European tour in 2008, the highlights included Sonar Music Festival (Spain) and Khan Altay Total Solar Eclispe Festival (Siberia).
