Kriss Darang

'Gifted' Over the years Kriss has played along side an array of highly respected DJs such as Eric Morrillo, Derrick Carter, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Tall Paul, Lisa Loud, Tim Deluxe, Bobbi N Steve, Paul Woolford, Jose Nunez, CJ Mackintosh, Hoxton Whores, Derrick Carter, Paul Jackson, 808 state and Kurtis Mantronix to name a few!!

A partner in ‘Just the One?’ launched in 2004, he has worked hard to bring a fresh new experience to house music and new production to the London scene. Kriss had bought Bobbi N Steve, Derrick Carter, Chrissy T, CJ Mackintosh, Jorge Jaramillo, Bora Bora, Pushca, Oliver Lang and Lisa Loud behind the seOne Decks.

This year Just the One has gone global with parties in Ibiza, Thailand and Prague, next year will see JTO travel to Istanbul and Barcelona. In November 2005, Kriss mixed the front cover CD for Notion Magazines December Issue back to Back with Lisa Loud. This featured some of the biggest tracks of that year, selling 25,000 copies Nation Wide. After the success of that, Kriss has produced another CD recently for the October 2006 issue of Notion, back to back again, but this time with his DJ partner Jnr-J. This CD showcased many new releases including ‘She’s Hardcore’ by Gary Gecko and Pig Bwoy and ‘Freakz’ by Kid Dub which is due for release on Kriss’ own label Devoré Recordings which he is currently overseeing the set up of, due to be launched in November. In June 2006 Kriss released his debut track ‘Twisted’ on Kinky Vinyl; which he produced with Jnr J.

The follow up ‘Sweaty Bitch’, ready to be signed to Kriss’ own label Devoré, is due for release in the autumn. Also this year Kriss has done a remix of Gary Gecko’s ‘D Ska Sting’ and Kid Dubs ‘Freakz’. After the set up of his own studio, Kriss is now busy working on projects with Lisa Loud , Gary Gecko, Jnr J, Harj (DTPM) and Waterson. On top of all this he somehow finds the time to dedicate himself to his own Radio Show ‘Just Jamm’ on House FM ; co-hosted by Jnr J. This show broadcasts out across London and the worldwide web every Wednesday night 8pm till 10pm with listeners in Sweden, Paris, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK tuning in to his trade mark sounds on www.housefm.net for live streaming.

Kriss has a natural gift for identifying the needs and wants of all types of crowds through his vast Djing experience in the UK and abroad. He integrates cutting edge styles and future sounds to his Djing and production techniques. This combines to create a formidable atmosphere which positively influences crowds and those listening. Kriss is a DJ with a philosophy that the sky is the limit. With ambition this lofty, it would be safe to say this guy has a great future ahead of him.

Jnr. J

'Jnr J is the epitomy of Cool' A 21st century DJ who blends a fierce selection of very dirty house music with a larger than life personality and Zero Ego. At the age of 17; Michael Collins, was introduced to the heady world of dance music by his younger brother LEEVAN who at the tender age of 12 sub consciously initiated his Big Brothers Destiny; After a shopping spell in Soho, the eager siblings soaked up the atmosphere of record shopping where JNR purchased his first ever 12”, which incidentally completely rocked his world! So excited the teenager rushed home only to realize that you need TWO pieces of plastic to make a mix!!! With no hesitation Michael Collins (Jnr J) swiftly mastered the art of Dj’in - courtesy of LEEVAN again he tailored his image and toured the underground of London club scene. A few mix tapes circulated and Jnr’s Sound, huge personality and style met the seal of approval of London’s most discerning and hedonistic clubbers! JNR J was born.

Gigs throughout London firmly established JNR as an exciting newcomer, playing endless shows throughout the Capital, he became London’s most in demand after party hellraiser. JNR’S flair, energy and technique quickly established his fan base and JNR found himself contemplating offers, he had only dreamed of. JNR was lucky enough to reside at the infamous THROB PARTIES at JAMM, hosted by all round music enthusiasts FRANK Cooper and HEATH GARDINER. As the popularity rose for our LARGER THAN LIFE entertainer; JNR and the THROB partnership Launched 1 of London’s coolest nights, The appropriately named JNRS JAMM, which supplies SW9 on a Bi-monthly basis a mix of all things nasty, dark and dirty, with guest appearances from some of the finest international Dj Talent… Jamm formerly the venue that hosted the sound bed and fan club that became the BASEMENT JAXX home, has warmed to our spiky haired one and given him right to reside over the proceedings. www.jnrsjamm.com
Step up KRISS DARANG. KRISS AND JNR, have fast become a product; Little did they know they’re teaming up was to open up Pandora’s Box, these boys are destroying London, take our word for it! An exciting collaboration; Jnr and Kriss have brought a new wave and revelation to dance music. Their residency at Just the one? Was the first to showcase the notorious twosome back to back, JUST THE ONE? Resides under the arches of London Bridge and has become a favorite for the capitals most discerning clubbers, having already played host to International Talent Derrick Carter, Clive Henry, Paul Woolford and Mutiny, to name a few… It is no surprise that KRISS AND JNR, have naturally leaped onto the International Circuit. International outings in Ibiza & Prague and personal appearances from JNR in Amsterdam, Norway, Poland & Switzerland have already taken place.
JNR we are pleased to say is a natural in the studio, a collaboration with KRISS DARANG on KINKY VINYL, saw the outing of Club Anthem TWISTED! And JNR’S Diary is currently a minefield of offers. The CHESHIRE CATZ’ steaming hot label FAKT will release JNR’S next release BATTLE CAT / BASTARD CHILD, Bringing JNR and DAN CAT together… Next up a collaboration with BLACK RUSSIAN….. Harj

‘Bringin’ the house down...’ Leicester born Harj's love affair with 'Proper' house music has raging on for decades. A regular at some of the cutting-edge hot spots on London’s glittering club scene, Harj quickly realised that the only way he could guarantee satisfaction out of a night on the tiles would be to don a pair of headphones and step into the booth himself. And that cheeky Asian dude with the mad hair never looked back.
After honing his talents in the west end's Sak & Denim, Harj was knew he was on the way after securing a residency at Blue Cube’s legendary polysexual Friday-nighter, ‘Fiction @ The Cross', where he currently plays every week. ‘He really holds court at ‘Fiction’ every week and he has a very loyal following’ says Blue Cube’s Managing Director Lee Freeman. ‘The club is simply not the same when he’s not there, which is very rare indeed’.

His dedication has left him holding the title for the most DJ sets ever played at 'The Cross' since it first opened its doors to the public way back in 1993. Fighting off all of the A-list DJs that have ever graced the decks there, including Seb Fontaine and Luke Neville, who thought they would nab the title easily!

His international jaunts on the 'Friction tours' has seen him playing gigs at the ‘VIP Room’ in Paris. Not content with rocking the Parisian massive, Harj also enjoyed regular guest spots in Turin playing @ the ‘Micronde’ parties, Russia, Mojocar - Spain, Morocco, Berlin and Hamburg.

Back home his former residencies include ‘Tribalism’ nights @ MOS london sharing the stage with heavyweights David Morales, Murk, DJ Heather, Jazzy M, Julius Papp, Pete Moss, Norman Jay, Rui Vargo and Robbie Rivera. He has also played a number of dates for the club’s underground Saturday Sessions. Not one to shy away from theatrics, Harj enjoyed a long residency at promoter Terry Hart’s flamboyantly decadent and nomadic ‘Drama’ club nights alongside 'Smokin Jo' at ‘Eve Club’, and later, Soho’s sumptuous ‘Sweet Suite’. Terry Hart who’s also heavily connected in the fashion industry, drafted in Harj to play alongside ‘Seb Fontaine’ @ ‘Julian Macdonalds’ (London Fashion Week) after show party in the same year that he took ‘Drama’ on the road!!!

Harj’s strong ties to the international DJ circuit led to a number of exclusive residencies at the prestigious ‘AKA’ nights in association with London clubbing Mecca, ‘The End’. Over his two and a half-year residency there (2001-2004), he racked up an impressive list of legendary nights, headlining with DJs Michael Grey, Mark Knight, Smokin’ Jo, Tom Stephan, DJ Disciple, Stacey Pullen, John Acquviva and The Beginerz, as well as an exciting and exclusive year long residency with DJ legend ‘Laurent Garnier’ for six exclusive dates at ‘The End’ in 2003.

Harj also regularly plays for Italian house bender 'Vertigo @ The Cross’ where he has been mixing it up with DJ giants Ralf, Claudio De Rocco, Dave Picconi, Jo Mills, Rocky (X-press 2), Lorenzo LSP, Nico de Ceglia (Codex), Clive Henry (Peace Division) and was recently invited to play as a guest DJ at Riccione’s superclub ‘PeterPan’ in Italy (NOV 05)

Harj’s most recent achievement has seen him enjoy a nomination in the ‘Breakthrough DJ’ category at the ‘House Music Awards 2005’, alongside big name DJ/producers such as the Shapeshifters, Hardsoul and Justin Martin.

Catch Harj doing his thing on the airwaves each and every mon 2-4pm ‘phat as f@*k’ show on www.pushfm.com right before DJ disciples show. Here you can got over those Monday blues or simply carry the party on from that long debauched weekend courtesy of Harj, and check out for yourself why he is causing waves amongst the DJ fraternity.

Kid Dub

'Breaking down barriers' Kid Dub’s first Ep. – (The Micro Geniuz [2004]) became an instant favorite with many Dj’s in Germany & landed a No.1 position in Berlin’s Groove Magazine in the Dj charts for the year 2004 – attracting instant attention from many labels which eventually lead to its re-release on Mood Music Records in 2006 with massive support from Sasse, Thugfucker, Berlin Massive Dirt Crew, Ewan Pearson and DJ Naughty amongst others.

It was a developing interest for Jazz which lead to an interest in drum & bass which was doing some very interesting jazz fusions. But a more aggressive tinge from metal & industrial days drew him into the world of IDM and techno. Giving up the guitar & singing for synthesizers & computers he performed live techno & drum&bass for years while living out in Singapore.

Having moved straight to London after Singapore, he enrolled at London’s SAE to study sound recording & a chance meeting with friends in college lead to the formation of Logicalnoise Records which has had seven great releases in the last three years of which was The Micro Geniuz Ep.

Since then Kid Dub has parted ways with Logicalnoise to focus on developing his musical style and performances. He is currently producing remixes for Ortzroka, Justin Xara, Paul & Price, Zofka and Evey Styles. Current tracks coming out are a blinding remix of Ortzroka’s “T2” which is topping many Dj Charts on Demi’s Deeper Substance Records. A progressive techno remix for Justin Xara’s “La Discotheque” out later this year on the same label is just about to be promo’d. Also out on Ortzroka’s new Bicycle Raid imprint two more melodically techno driven tracks remixes for their underground success - “Fell Through That”. The start of 2007 will see works with Dj Chloe Harris & guest vocal appearances for Olivier Giacomotto’s release on John Aquaviva’s Definitive Recordings.

Kid Dub also runs a club night in London called Think FWD – which aims to break down barriers within the world of house and techno music. A Fusion night with great success which honors guest performances every month to those who are the future of house & techno and where it all goes from here.
