Saveria
Im happy to say I had the chance to work with 10 year old pop vocalist Saveria. Her maturity of her voice is summed up in one word by both myself and friends around me, wow. Although the song "Do Ya" doesnt display her range completely, it certainly shows her tone appeal and the maturity of her voice. Earlier in the year Saveria came in to do some acapella vocals of the national anthems and that is where I saw the true strength of her voice, this girl has got pipes!!! I see a very bright future for her and her talents, good luck to her and I hope to work with her again in the near future!
Justin Plet Record Finished!
After a long and arduous (just kidding justin haha), a long and amazing time in the studio with Justin, we finished up his new record! Justin was nothing less of a great artist to work with and a true vocalist. His lyrics are real and you feel that with his performance because you feel how real it is by his voice. The two songs here are chosen because I love the simplicity of "I know that its me" and I like to show the broad production on "You". So check them out! And check out Justin Plet @

Chasing Mercury Demos
The boys in Chasing Mercury and I had a fun day together in the studio live-tracking the track listing for their full length record. They are due at Beach Road Studios on May 1st to begin recording. These demos were for the purpose of pre-production and listening back to their performances in order to specify attention to details. We have been really excited for this record and so far its turning out to be everything we thought it would, and so much more.. Unfortunately I wont release a sample because we cannot have any material leaked out before the record is finished, so you'll have to be patient!
Updated Services Section
Listed under "Mix Rate" I wanted to specify that the mix rate was for outside projects that were ready and prepared for mix. For Interface Clients, the mixing is billed at the standard rate, or whichever is less. Still working out the bugs and the details, bare with me.

I forgot to add this in the services section, Assistance with government grant applications for audio recordings. Read more below.

Highlights on Broken Cities In the studio
These guys will be back in the studio March 11th to work out a couple new demos. See ya then boys.
New Microphone, haha
This is silly, but I really like it.. I picked up a new mic that AKG just released a little while back called a Perception 400. For all you audiophiles out there its a great mic if your looking for a very clear detailed large diaphragm sound. Havent tried it on alot of things yet but so far great for pop vocal, mediocre on acoustic gtrs, lots of sizzle on overheads. Worth checking out for the price.
Working on a R&B/Soul Record
New recording has begun for a female artist with SOLID. Management, we are tracking her new record for her debut release. There is alot to come from this so keep your ears open and your eyes glued to the SOLID. Management website.
The Just Tom Band
The Just Tom Band will be entering the studio on the 3rd week in February to begin tracking the beds for their new record. Some of the band members I am famillair with from way back, so this should be a fun few days.
MP3 Player Fixed
There was a problem with the coding for the media player playing the mp3 audio samples, anyways its fixed now. So if for some reason you came by the site an didnt hear any music, you will now.
New Myspace Page
Some of you may have noticed my splurge of myspace page designing lately, well, its because I figured out a few tricks that the pros do and well, think im pretty good at it! Haha, in the most humble way possible.. But I do think that its important to have a great looking page and I love to design so Voila! new pages. Hope you like it.
In Its Wake Mixes Released
I released a couple tracks from the group "In Its Wake", My involvement was this: Co-Producer, Mixer, String composer on "Beneath The Waves" and the drums were re-done here at Interface. Check out more "In Its Wake" here.

IMPORTANT
I have had a large number of compliments from various people and clients regarding how clean, clear and noise free the recordings in this studio are, this is because I chose to focus on many things that are typically over-looked in todays project studios. First and foremost the signal chain, the ENTIRE studio is custom wired with top quality Belden Cabling. Belden cabling is a standard amongst all hi-end professional recording studios. (www.belden.com) Secondly this studio's electricity was professional installed onto a seperate circuit as the rest of the house, keeping it clean, clear and safe. Whats the purpose of buying great gear if by the time it reaches the computer it is noisy and degraded?
a)
Uh Oh.
I dont have that! "Never fear, Mr. Lender is here." What im getting at with that lame remark is that if for some reason I haven't got what we need here at the studio, I can get my hands on it. Not a big deal. Typically I will get my hands on some hi-end gear if the project calls for it, but budgeting 5000 dollars to buy a single microphone just isnt practical.
Your Gear.
So its like this, and this is important so please pay attention. DO NOT bring your $50.00 instrument to the studio and expect me to make it sound like a million dollar recording. It isn't going to happen. What many people don't understand is that an engineer's job is to capture the sound at THE SOURCE and modify WHAT EXISTS so that it blends together with the other instruments in a complimenting balance A.K.A the "Mix" In other words, if the instrument sounds like crap, there isnt a sound that exists for us to work with. We have a common-law saying in studios, "You cant polish a turd, Crap in, Crap out." So, my advice to you, to make the most of your money and the studio time, spend the extra $100.00 to rent the best gear possible to bring to the studio. Doing this will guarantee it will sound at least a little better. Failure to do this will more than likely result in a weak or brittle sound from your instrument and nothing personal, but believe me, I wont lose sleep over it.
Also DRUMMERS, splurge for once and replace your dang skins!! Argh!
I am done.
