About Me

Song Blog for June 23-29: "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" by Bill Medley & Jennifer WarnesRIP George Carlin (1937-2008)I am a published writer and editor who is an active member of the independent living community. I am very interested in the media, and disability issues (this includes the Independent Living movement). From 2001 to 2005, I served as Information & Referral Coordinator for the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto (CILT), an information centre that provides resources and workshops for youth and adults with disabilities living independently in the community. One of my long-term goals is to continue writing and getting published in a journalism or public relations environment. I have also been thinking recently about advancing my computer and Internet skills, particularly in online publishing and HTML.
