Epic Flagon are an energetic five piece hailing from the ACT, with a fast pace no bullshit live show.
Forming with 4 school mates back in 2000, in late 2002 the addition of a second guitarist completed the Flagon line up. Working on making a name for themselves in their home town with continuos giging and a self-released EP ’Limestone Lil’, becoming an integral part of the local punk scene.
2005 saw the guys really starting to move forward receiving the support for internationals Anti-Flag and the Lawrence Arms and having both their Nov ’04 and Aug ’05 Demo played on Triple J as an Exposed Artist on Super Request and on Stu Harvey’s Short, Fast, Loud. Following this up with shows in Sydney with Unpaid Debt, Casino Rumblers, Oxford Tavern in Wollongong with The Disables, Canberra with Bodyjar, Irrelevant, Unpaid Debt, among others.
2006 Epic Flagon supported The Unseen (usa), After The Fall, Bad Day Down, Unpaid Debt, Mach Pelican and play Canberra’s Indyfest and Soundfest aswell as shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Wollongong, Regional NSW and the NSW South Coast. Epic Flagon were also the winner of the 2006 People’s Choice at the Canberra & District Music Awards.
The Most part of 2007 has seen EF working on their first full which was partly recorded locally with Kurt @ Metalworx, with vocals and mixing done in Sydney with Lachlan Mitchell @ Standing Wave Studios and mastering by Steve Smart @ Studio 301 As well as this EF has played shows in Wollongong with Unpaid Debt and Irrelevant, Sydney @ the Annandale Hotel, GOATs Festival on the Central Coast and supporting US punks Strike Anywhere in Canberra.
