Dr. Hardlove

I Eric Hardlove, aka Kay Irgens, aka Dr. Hardlove, am a Norwegian artist. I'm born in a musical family and have been deeply involved with music since the age of twelve. I have performed in a vast array of musical styles during the years (Jazz, rock, reggae, funk, singer & songwriter, world music). I have released four songs on three compilation CD's from different cultural and musical events in Oslo, Norway. I have released one CD on my own label "Medicine Records". The CD was given out under the name "Dr. Hardlove" and was titled "Coming Home" (2001). I am currently working on an album in the studio I am managing in Oslo, Norway. I will give you some cuts from this album here soon. This CD will be released with my band "Culture Clash". "The Culture Clash Cooperation" was originally a band concept I started with my good friend Sankung Jobarthe from Gambia, back in the early nineties. I then went on to work under the name of "Dr. Hardlove & The Medicine Crew". After some years I started studying Jazz vocals for a while and performed under a part of my family name "Kay Irgens"(my full name is Kay-Erik Irgens Nilsen). I’m back where it all started in a way, funny how life brings you back to yourself, if you are willing to be honest to yourself that is. Now there is a new bunch of world music oriented musicians in my band, so please welcome "THE CULTURE CLASH".
