The Shakedown party is a joint collaboration between Worship Recording's Rob Paine and Philly Soul Collective's Willyum held monthly in the city of Brotherly Dub, Philadelphia. Runnin' 5 years strong The Shakedown features some of house music's finest dj's/producers: JT Donaldson, Fred Everything, Jay Tripwire, Pete Moss, Lady Alma live, Sunshine Jones, Janie Thinnes, Fort Knox Five, John Howard, Demarkus Lewis, Jay-J, Rick Preston, Dj Garth, Joey Youngman, Robbie Hardkiss, Rithma, Onionz, Dj Sabo, Johnny Fiasco, Rasoul, Seinan, Hipp-E, Halo, and Mazi...just to name a few plus tons of local talent as well.
In addition to the incredible music, The Shakedown has one of the best house music crowds around. Our Shakedown massive dances their asses off all night long. the crowd is intimate and will let you know as soon as you hit their sweet spot. The atmosphere is fun, open and you can't help but feel like part of a big musical family - everyone is welcome and encourage to celebrate in the beauty and unity of house music!
About 2 years ago The Shakedown expanded from party to record label as a subsidiary of Worship Recordings. The Shakedown label is influenced directly by the sounds of the party: funky, vocal, live instrumentation....fun and uplifting house music. To date we have 3 release out
