PETE MAJIA
Pete Majia is a dedicated acoustic artist who spreads inspiration to all that he can. His music reaches out to all. A basic principle can be heard through all of his songs, no matter how bad things are, what kind of walls you build, whatever that this life throws your way, everything will turn out alright.
Pete Himself struggled for a long time with harmful relationships that turned to harmful tendencies, and found himself lost, his music shows that. Its a powerful blend of soft appregios with soft powerful vocals, showing sadness but still yet, always a glimpse of hope.

Pete has always been a huge fan of music. Throughout his high school career he played in numerous bands that included "Blind", a band similar to Rage Against the Machine, which later changed the lineup and became "Downside", then a twist for the worst came and because of musical differences, Pete left the band as lead guitar player, that band later changed to "At the Park" which toured extensively with "The all American Rejects".
Pete also fronted a small death metal band named "Silence", which Pete jokes "Lasted one show" lol.
But as years went by and people grow up, Pete found himself lost and troubled by drugs and alcohol.
After a stint of
cocaine addiction and much marijuana use, Pete messed around for about 5 years of his life wondering who he was and what he was here for, music became nothing but a shadow of the person he once was. Pete was hospitalized around 2004 because of a ruptured appendix that had happened because of extensive and confusing drug AND ALCOHOL Abuse.
Family and friends got Pete through his troubles, Rehab was never an option for Pete, something bigger was there. (god)
"I always felt I could beat it myself" Pete stated back in Jan 2005 while interviewing for a magazine.
"I am hoping to write songs that people can understand and relate to, as all musicians do. Hopefully I will be able to achieve that, and I believe my passion for this is definitely strong enough to do soâ€.
I believe that feelings are Necessary but hatred and depression can totally take control and those are the worst feelings a person could ever feel, they will break you down and make you a person that you DONT want to be, Music can cure the heart in many ways.
If I can make one person smile in a crowd of a million, I've done what I was here to do"
"Hastings Performance Review" Oct 8th 2005
When the up and coming artist Pete Majia performed for our store here in Alamogordo he cause a stir between associates and guests. His voice was romantic and soft while his lyrics were dramatic and heartfelt. I'm sure he has a bright future and we can't wait to have him back"
