About Me

For My Dad
Anthony Hunter
Nov. 20 1952 - Jan. 25, 2010
The FIRST song on the page is a song my sister and I did for my dad who, on January 25, 2010, died of lung cancer that spread to his adrenal glands, his brain, and his bones. We did a little something for him when he was first diagnosed and was in the hospital back in September 2007. He rarely cried, but he loved it so much he said he had to... check it out
Shade
Shade is one of the top up and coming artist on the underground scene. Along with the other two members of the Criminal Allstarz, Raca and Blizz, Shade is making an impact on the scene not only in New Mexico but also on a national level.
Shade has been in the music game for a few years now. While he has been writing music since before his junior high days, his first serious attempt at recording came in 2005 with his first mix tape “One in a Mil” as Shade the Disciple X. Using the beat from Jay-Z’s “million and one questions remix,” the title track became an instant hit. Soon after the release of his first mix tape, Shade began working on his second mix tape the 24th Letter which included hits such as A.N.T. (All Night Trauma), Shade, and Behind Closed Doors.
In early 2006, Shade began to work more on producing beats for his third album “Royal Flush”. While he dilly-dallied around with making beats since he was in high school, he became more focused on production. After the completion of his third album, Shade joined up with the Criminal Allstarz. This unification of talents helped not only Shade come up with new and better beats, but also to be more creative on his tracks.
Criminal
Allstarz
The Criminal Allstarz started out as the two long time friends and talented rappers Blizz and Raca. In 2005, the Criminal Allstarz dropped their first mix tape “Draft day mix tape v. 1”. While working on their second mix tape “Verbal Warning: Don’t stand too close” the Criminal Allstarz hooked up with Shade to get the recording done. After doing a song with shade on his never released “Live with it, Deal with it” and featuring him on a few songs, they asked him to join the group.
In 2007, the Criminal Allstarz started doing shows with other local artist, artist from the southwest, as well as artist on the mainstream such as Lil’ Flip and Rasheed from Dopehouse Records. As time progresses the Allstarz are coming up with more creative ideas to keep the fans loving the music.
In late 2008, the Criminal Allstarz released the LP “The Flyest of the Gooch” and it was an instant success. With songs like “You don’t want it with me”, “Dolla Signs”, and “T.K.O.”, the Allstarz showed everyone they meant business. To show they had a softer side, they did the track “Right hand girl”, which became a favorite of the guys as well as the girls. From top to bottom every song showed the diversity and talent of each rapper, including the often featured artist T-Minus.
In 2009 and 2010 there is much more to come so be ready…

Influences: Marsha Norman explains music's influence,"There are things that music can do that language could never do, that painting can never do, or sculpture. Music is capable of going directly to the source of the mystery. It doesn't have to explain it. It can simply celebrate it." So basically, life influences us, and our music tells the story. :
