Phobic Pleasure was born in 2002 by the will of Aguinaga and The Horrible Old, in a dead and forgotten land between Vicenza and Schio.
This project was about to continue the thrash metal musical path that began with Dyers Eve, by adding innovations and strange technicism.
Soon Alamét Augléd Aloèm Ras, already guitarist in Golgota, entered the band after numerous jam-sessions with many musicians.
The line-up was completed by Vega, an old founders' friend and also a stage beast: the so formed band looked bonded and solid in those times - playing a sort of original thrash/death.
After the first compositions and live appearances, the band decided to enter the Avana Studios to record a 5-track mini-CD.
"DUALISM", the first demo, was recorded and mixed in April 2004 and received many good reviews.
After this release, the band restarted to play on stage.
Most important, the concert at Mostra dei Mostri in Teramo, dated August 2004, with great bands such as Novembre, Theatres Des Vampires and Infernal Poetry. Overwhelmed by debts, Vega leaved the band in December 2004, but soon Gabriele from Gaia's Vestige replaced him. After a few concerts and some new tracks, Gabriele preferred to let the doctor Death (Teo Pemoskrad) become the new singer of the band.
That style comes from the synthesis of:
-
Traditional deathrash metal violence +
Strong sperimentation willing +
Light progressive direction, typical of the seventies (no prog-metal) +
Ironic and critical attitude with satyrical intentions =
Thrashdeath Horrible Core.
