FREE SPIRIT are a contemporary Christian band based in the High Peak of the UK. The founder members are Mike on keyboards and Cheryl on vocals, and we have had the blessing of many guest musicians over the years, with ace guitarist AIDAN BROWNE, and singer songwriter Lynne Bayley joining us for the EXEGESIS album, and new permanent members Claire(who has taken over lead vocals) and Lesley on backing vocals. Sarah is our web and album art designer and a constant source of ideas and encouragement. In 2007 we were joined by new members Chris and Sue on trumpet and vocals. We all attend various churches ranging from the Salvation army to C of E and AOG!One of our favourite Christian singers is Chris Tomlin - we have recorded a cover version of the "The Splendour of the King" for our new album.We especially love the music of the Abundant Life Church worship team, and RPM at Bradford and take the opportunity to travel the 50 or so miles whenever we can, to experience what is truly an amazing church. If you only manage to make the trip to Bradford once in a lifetime you will never forget the anointed music and inspired preaching.
