He spent his childhood and adolescent years there and in New Orleans, Louisiana. Local New Orleans rappers such as influenced him; Mystikal, Partners n Crime, the Hot Boys, and the No Limit Soldiers. Approaching high school, L.P. encountered the death of his mother and many other life changing events. He was driven by this to live a lifestyle of alcohol and drugs, but he continued to keep interest in sports.Athletics won him a ticket to further his education at Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama, were he now resides. He began to notice the downward spiral in his life. One night, a friend led him to the knowledge of Christ. L.P quickly began to focus on the word of God. His roommate was a rapper from N.Y.C. and his skills inspired L.P. to rap. Both being inspired by God, began to do Christian Hip Hop. With the inspiration, L.P. began to rap as a witnessing tool. While displaying his rap skills in the barbershop, where he was formerly employed, he was given an opportunity to record with a local producer. He calls himself L.P. because he feels that he is “like Paul”, an apostle of Jesus Christ. Paul made a statement in the book of Romans, chapter 1 verse 16, “for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ”, and he would spread the gospel and set order everywhere that he went. L.P. has come to spread the gospel and set order in the rap industry and everywhere that he goes.
