About Me

This profile was edited with satanspace.com Editor

MODERN FUNERAL ART are haunting the crossroads of several musical movements, from Doom to Gothic Metal, linked together by the dark and eldritch strains of their sounds and subjects. The works of MFA are based on the uncanny contrast between chords and rhythms which may recall at once Doom metal bands such as My Dying Bride and vocals uprising from the vaults of the early Gothic Rock scene, echoing Joy Division or the Virgin Prunes for instance. Apart from these musical aspects, one should not neglect lyrics which are notably inspired by the greatest Dark Fantasy authors of both 19th and 20th centuries. HP Lovecraft and his allusions to our powerlessness in front of entities that should not be named or EA Poe and his never outdated morbid melancholy.
