The Planet, was formed in 2003, as a latin jazz band, called Bossa Nova Project. Performing at various jazz and latin clubs in Istanbul, together saxophonist/flutist Suha Otmanboluk, guitarist Cansun Kucukturk, bassist Deniz Beydili, vocalist/percussionist Herman Artuc and on drums Gokhan Turkoglu, display a repertoir which ranges from bossa nova and samba classics. Through performance, The Planet develops new arrangements by original compositions written by Suha Otmanboluk. The jazz sound is the matrix of The Planet, but, at the same time you can feel echoes of all the influences from the city life of Istanbul, the latin and world music.The Planet, wants to record a CD and wants to take place at various jazz festivals for living the magic of sharing music with people.
