Born on July 17th 1962, Cem Nasuhoglu began his musical training at the Contemporary Music Center (Cagdas MUzik Merkezi) in Istanbul while attending Timur Selcuk's polyphonic Turkish music workshop and studied jazz guitar and harmony with TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) jazz orchestra player Kamil Ozler. After having performed with Kamil Ozler as a guitar duo and a trombone-guitar duo with Emre Kayhan, he began his own compositions blending his country's musical heritage with jazz harmony and his musical experience. Selecting the most striking ones of these compositions such as Istanbul'da Bir Gun (A day in Istanbul), Yolculuk (The Journey), Veda (Farewell) he released an album titled "The Journey" on which he worked with musicians like Genco Ari, Eylem Pelit and Turgut Alp Bekoglu.
