COMING UNDONE ROUGH MIX!!!

Click it and crank it. It's unmastered and straight from the studio, so you hear what we do, it's just a bit quieter than an album cut... More to come...

BIO

It all started one typical frigid January in Ithaca, New York. Jon-Mark Sandquist was honing his song-writing skills and playing acoustic sets for whoever would listen. Meanwhile Steve "Freeze" Vonderweidt and J. Digory Spaulding were jamming together wondering where they could find the missing piece to make a great rock band. When they heard Jon-Mark, they knew they had it. After a couple of line up changes, a move halfway across the US and countless recordings (including a self produced full length album), Centered is poised to take on their new hometown, Louisville, Kentucky, and from there the world.

Their mission: to strip away the artificial and make rock music that's about nothing more than that, the music. They've taken a bit from every era where real music flourished, however briefly, from the acoustic folk and classic rock they grew up on to the punk and grunge that sound-tracked their teens. Thrown into that stew is their own unique outlook, a kind of cynical idealism, a hope weathered by disappointment and loss. Their songs strike everywhere at once, the heart and the gut, the mind and the feet. Often compared to hard-rock outfits of recent vintage such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Live and The Foo Fighters; their ever-growing Louisville fan base would probably describe them just as they would describe themselves- a pure rock band!

New Songs

We've been working on a new song for the next show, and it's pretty groovy. The song's verse is a little bass heavy, and of course melodic. I'm pretty excited about debuting it, as well as trying out ...

All I want is a friggin beer!

Say whatever you want about Louisville, man. The bar scene in Hunterdon County, New Jersey has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen. Especially around a holiday, when there are a total of 3 pla...

Movie in the 70s, wasn't it? Regardless, trying to be a working-class nose to the grind band with no backing, a minimalist fan base, and more struggle than its worth booking shows can be hard, dishea...

Yay College!

We've often joked about the fact that we are, by our very nature, College Rock. Sadly, not in the Indie-Hipster Playing-your-guitar-out-of-tune-is-not-only-acceptable-but-k inda-cool way that I'd pers...

The irony of this post is...

That I'm blogging about a blog. And blogs, by their very nature, are kind of self-involved. And yet they have become so natural to the online world that software developers make browsers that can te...

I'd be mad, but that would be selfish...

Yeah, so we got tossed around with this whole benefit show thing, and now it appears we will not be playing at Jillian's this weekend. I'm not going to go into details, first because it doesn't matte...

How to Dismantle an Atomic Fiasco

So, you have your good ones, and your bad ones. This one was just plain weird. Yeah, so we kind of entered into playing this show by accident. Yeah, so we were asked last minute if we could play la...
