Now performing with The Wade Love Band and Secrecy , Angelo Dominguez is a veteran of the SF Bay Area music scene with experience in a wide variety of genres. His formal musical education is on drums which he acquired through the various concert and jazz music programs offered at the public schools he attended in Vallejo, California. While in high school, he began performing with musicians outside of the academic environment of "band class" and thus began a journey of discovery that continues through today. One such discovery was the expressive outlet music created for him and as he explored this outlet, he found through his studio work and original compositions that playing keyboards was the most gratifying experience. So, he permanently made the switch to performing as a keyboardist. His training on keyboards is primarily self-taught learning and creating parts by ear occasionally supplemented by instructional videos, magazine articles and observing the performances of his contemporaries. His current setup includes a Yamaha Motif 7 , Roland XP-50 , Korg DW-8000 , Roland MKS-50 , Voce V3 organ module, and Akai S1000 . Past credits performing in a cover group include Odyssey (R&B, Funk, Motown, Jazz Standards), Bump-N-Grind (70’s R&B, Funk), Groove Integration (70’s R&B, Funk), Car Wash (70’s R&B, Funk), Soul Messengers (70’s - 80’s R&B, Funk), Kool Breeze (Pop, Motown, 50’s - 70’s Rock-n-Roll, Jazz standards), Ruby Isles (60’s – 80’s Rock, Motown), and the Jackie Ivory Quartet (Blues, Motown, Jazz Standards). Past performing, recording, production, and/or writing credits with original artists include Trace Ellington and Alternative Soul (Neo Soul), Shawii (R&B, Hip-Hop), the Strip (Alternative Funk), Robert Temple (World), and the Gospel Consolators (Gospel). Original compositions provided for video and radio advertisements for Oliver Rubber Company, Boys and Girls Club of Oakland, and the Oakland A’s.
