She lives in the Languedoc and in Harpenden, GB where, in addition to her busy performing schedule, she runs a flourishing Teaching Practice.Annett has recently released her debut recording, on the MUSIC CHAMBER label, of the seldom-heard masterpicece by DMITRI SHOSTAKOVICH, 24 PRELUDES FOR PIANO, op 34. This critically acclaimed recording is now available from WWW.MUSIC-CHAMBER.COM, WWW.CDBABY.COM and WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK .The recording also features the exquisite DANCES OF THE DOLLS, another unjustly neglected masterwork of Shostakovich.Recorded in London in 2007 on a historic Steinway once owned by the great conductor Sir Thomas Beecham, Annett's album displays the warm, natural and totally unenhanced sound for which Producer Richard Carruthers of MUSIC CHAMBER is becoming justly renowned, reflecting the unforced freshness and vitality of her pianism.Annett's CD of Shostakovich has received a glowing review in the magazine INTERNATIONAL PIANO PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ THIS REVIEW or to purchase the album from www.music-chamber.comAll audio samples on this page are taken from the above album.
