Len Arran is a Songwriter/Producer/Film Music Composer now living in Dublin, Ireland.In the late 90’s Len co-wrote 8 top 40 Singles, with Skin and Skunk Anansie, including Hedonism(Just Because You Feel Good), Twisted, and Brazen(Weep), on 3 Gold/Platinum Albums; 'Paranoid and Sunburnt'(1995), 'Stoosh'(1997) and 'Post Orgasmic Chill'(1999).The huge European-wide hit 'Secretly' was used in the film 'Cruel Intentions' (1999), along with tracks for 'Strangedays' (1995), 'Mission Impossible' (1998), 'The Avengers' (1998), and other television credits in Europe and America.2004 saw the release of songs for Skin's first Solo Album, 'Fleshwounds' on EMI Records followed by her second solo album, 'Fake Chemical State' (V2 Music) released in March 2006.Composed music for computer games including the Sony Entertainment PC game, Tellurian Defence. and scored music for three Irish Short Films, in addition to music for the highly commended 'Simon Community' TV Spots.Films include the award winning A Dublin Story (2003), directed by Graham Cantwell, Push Hands (2004), directed by Stephanie Green, the highly acclaimed 'Past Pupil' (2005) directed by Graham Cantwell and the latest feature from French Director, Chris Nahon, 'L'Empire des loups' (2005).More recently, tracks were completed for the British romantic comedy 'The Truth About Love’ (UK-2006) and the much anticipated second feature from Director Shimmy Marcus, 'Souled Out'.This year should see the release of a score for the Audrey O’Reilly film “It Takes Three To Tangoâ€, music for the acclaimed Paul Davey documentary "Breaking Boundaries" and a score for the Irish TV series “The Coalboat Kidsâ€.
In addition he has recently also produced a 4 Track EP for the excellent Dublin Singer/Songwriter Nigel Place whose album is expected soon.Currently working with the beautiful young Irish singer Labhaoise Brennan on Labhaoise’s debut album, featuring the wonderful viola player Maria Angeles Alcala, which should be released this summer.
