Magnus Kornerup is a 25 year old London and Copenhagen based singer and songwriter. After a year long working period in London, writing new material, Magnus has now returned to his native Denmark to start recording.
Since childhood Magnus has been singing and playing both guitar and piano.
Showing a true interest in music, it was only natural to start taking lessons.
At the age of 19, Magnus started his musical education, taking him to London for the first time. Here he succesfully auditioned the music school “Vocal-Tech“ and began a three year long study of music and voice.
After London Magnus returned to Denmark to study the vocal tecniques of famous voice researcher and vocal instructor Cathrine Sadolin. This was a turning point because Magnus got aware of the voice as an instrument. It was at this point he discovered and developed his own specific sound.
Alongside his vocal study, Magnus has continually written his own material and also collaborated with other songwriters, exploring composition from new angles.
What signifies Magnus’ songs and voice is the warmth, depth and honesty in both lyrics and melody.
