Monorail

Monorail (Based in Co. Tipperary) is music brought to you by myself Seamus Hennessy and a host of other musicians. Through the years this music has been delivered in various forms ranging from a solo act to a 5 piece band. The Band currently consists of Myself on Acoustic Guitar and Vocals, David Murphy on Pedal Steel, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Mouth Organ and anything else he can get his hands on. Don Rothwell on Bass and Dave Tate on Drums also we are sometimes accompanied by Ali Allen on Fiddle.......... But it all started off many years ago when I walked into a pub in Fermoy with a battered guitar and a fist full of original songs. I asked if I could play some tunes, I was greeted well and paid with hot whiskey and applause...........This inspired me to continue with music and over the next couple of years I got to play with many musicians and in many venues. I have done support gigs for the likes of Damien Rice, Gemma Hayes, Jack L, Johnny Fine (Horselips) and Kevin Evans......... I have travelled a lot over the years and played guitar in most countries in Europe......... I now have my own recording Studio and this keeps me in touch me musicians from all walks of life. I believe I have developed a unique view on music and this in evident in my own music. I will always play music and be creative, anyone who knows me will know that. I have learned a lot about music and people over the years and I realise I have much more to learn. It is the learning process that makes life so interesting for me. I have made many friends through music and more recently on myspace and I hope that this will continue............. I am currently looking forward to producing my first full length Album and I am delighted to announce that David Murphy has Agreed to Produce the album with me. Don Rothwell, Dave Tate and Ali Allen are all going to play on the Album and as each of them are accomplished and experienced musicians I am over the moon to have this opportunity to work with them...watch this space...........
