I’ve been writing for quite some time now, but only recently started recording my songs by playing musician; sometimes singer; and producer. I suppose you can call my debut songwriting demo - "Motives For Martyrdom (2006)" - a labour of love, then.
I grew up listening to ABBA and Boney M which instilled in me, besides a campness!, a strong sense of melody. As did Depeche Mode. My influences changed over the years - as is usually the case - and Alanis Morisette’s angst would add more weight to my music lyrically.
Ultimately I’m a music lover and appreciate most genres. My goal is to write future classics for great artists across the board. Collaborate with a producer for a more polished sound. Work with a DJ on club/house tracks. Maybe start a band for a more rock outlet. Do a musical. Score a film...
I’m currently working on my sophomore demo, which, besides showing a little growth, will hopefully also pave the way...
