She has something you may wanna hear or maybe not? This 28 year old from Detroit Michigan has a mission to accomplish. To spread the word of "JESUS". "I'm so excited that God chose me to do his work" she says. Leaving behind family and friends, to record her gospel album in California. "It was hard to leave, but I felt God was moving me for a reason." "People didn't want me to leave, but I knew God was pushing me to do more with my life". Dana spent 4 days a week in church, she taught the children's choir, youth praise and worship, and even did praise steppin at Elbethel C.O.G.I.C, in Detroit, MI where she was a member since the age of 14. Dana became a fan of music at the age of two, "I remember digging in my mom's record stash, which was a library full of old records...."me and my bro got out first fisher price record player, and we just went crazy!!!! (laughing), we played every record from The Jackson Five, to Chaka Chan, to Parliment...."She had everything" we just grew a love for it......At the age of 9 she moved to a new neighbor, where there we're lots of kids, she then started to form little girl singing and dancing groups, one of the groups she named "The Marine Girls"......."I still don't know how I came up with that name"!!! Dana always grew up shy, but loved to sing and dance, runnin up and down the streets of her neighborhood!!! She then began to play around and write songs just for fun!!! "I started to sing them, and I said wow, I did this"? At 15 she started playin around on her brother's keyboard one late night, and came up with a beat!! "I got so excited, I tryed to wake my brother up, so he could hear, but he wouldn't bulge!! "finally the next morning he heard it and went crazy"...from then on she began creating her own music, and writing countless songs...a cousin walked in and heard Dana and her brothers creations, and began to take it to the next level, he put together a production label called "Prodical Son" Dana and her brother upgraded to a better Keyboard, and they began their journey making great music!!!! "I was pumpin out tracks like crazy" unfortunately Dana's shyness caused her to remain in the background while the label kicked off her brother's first Solo effort: "Under Seige" till this day it's still being talked about....although people we're getting turned on to the music Dana and Seige was making, creative differences forced the label to shut down....shortly Dana's brother moved on to other opportunities...but after so many disappointments, he decided to pack up and head to cali, where he resides today. Dana continued moving forward trying to find her voice, and to come out of her shell....she stayed in church, always sitting in the back of the house, until one day the choir needed a new lead for a Christmas song....she was put on the spot by a close friend who knew she wanted to sing...the choir then forced her to open up her mouth, when she did, everyone was surprised with what they heard. They asked her to lead the choir on several occasions, and she became more comfortable with singing...she began to write songs for the praise and worship team, and they became a sunday morning favorite..."that's when I realized I was annointed and God wanted to use me, more and more"!!! She Eventually had a meeting with her pastor about going to california to record a Gospel album with her now popular producer and brother "Seige". With a fresh-airy voice, and the hard beats to back it up, she know's how to get the job done! Ear catchers like the guitar driven "Life With You" and "Unchanging Hand" both written, and arranged by Dana, is just a pinch of what's to come. "To touch as many people as I can is what's most important to me, through music, WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
