Paddy Usher/Jacuzze Jungle released a cover version of Wild Cherrys 1970s classic? Play That Funky Music White Boy in Ireland. The single received airplay on top Irish radio stations such as 2FM, FM104, 95.8 LMFM, Shannonside Northern Sound 94.8FM, Midlands Radio 3 and the video which was shot on location at RTE studios was shown on 2TV, Irelands Top 30 Hits, Fish, The Den and No Disco. The band has played the length and breath of the country over the last few years. Playing such festivals as the Cork Gunniness Jazz festival and the Heineken weekenders to name but as few as well as regular gigs in the Gaiety, Mean Fiddler, Whelans and the Temple Bar Music Center. The band has also played support to bands such as the Ozric Tentacles, Corduroy, The James Taylor Quartet, The 4 of us, Aslan, the Frames, Shane Mc Gowan. Mother Earth and many more. The band spent most of 2002 in New York recording new material for future release. the debut album " Broke n Busted" now finished by Jacuzze Jungle and ready for your ears. Whilst Jacuzze Jungle is on hold, you can now hear Paddy Ushers solo project, enjoy!
Paddy Usher was the recipient of the prestigious Hot Press Bacardi Songwriter award in 1997. Paddy was chosen out of thousands of hopefuls and was presented with his award. He has also won many other various song writing competitions in Ireland. Now check out a production in progress which Paddy has written a new song for the movie Low!
