About Me

I've never had a MiceBase before. To be honest, I had no intention of getting one, but every comedian, DJ, musician, band and general headcase tells me to add them on this bloody thing. I bet they won't even add me back now and I'll have to return to living in that wheelie bin. Bastards.
Unhappiness cloaks our spirit like a sock. It ruptures the heart, as a pin would rupture a bee. - Armando Iannucci
*Music-wise, I'm into trad goth, cybergoth/cyberpunk, electro, EBM, industrial, obscure indie, 80s new romantic, punk, post-punk, rock, hip-hop, etc., etc., blah, blah. I have decided it's impossible for me to express how musically obsessed I am without sounding like a gibbering, wibbling whackjob, so I will sit alone in my bedroom, licking my CD collection and dancing in private whilst you go about your usual business.
*I want to work in radio, where all the noises live.
*I am vegan , politically active and a fan of experimental sandwiches.
*I go to lots of music festivals, gigs and clubs.
*I like sitting around in my pants whilst eating avocado sandwiches, drinking tea and listening to the radio.
*I love comedy and I go to loads of stand-up gigs and live shows.
*If I listed all the radio comedies I love it'd probably take up the whole Internet, so I'd better not.
*I enjoy people-watching in relaxing [fairtrade] coffee shops. If you think that's pretentious I'll wee down your ear.
*I usually need a wee.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people who can use apostrophes.

I have a lot of friends on MySpace, but do not let my apparent popularity deceive you. I add mainly musicians and comedians to find out about tour dates and new acts. In real life, I spend most of my time sitting alone in a puddle of weak soya tea, crying into a shoe.

Music:

Every time I even consider filling in this section I get stressed enough to scratch out my own appendix as a pleasant distraction. I love so many artists, I feel I would be doing a huge disservice to all the ones I can't fit in here if I try to list them all. I know none of them are likely to ever see this page but I will know and that is enough, OK? Good. Just leave it. Jesus, stop pressurising me. Twats.

Movies:

Donnie Darko, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Quadrophenia, The Shawshank Redepmtion, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (but the book is better), The Wall, I [heart] Huckabees, A Fish Called Wanda, 24-Hour Party People, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets' Society, Pi, Extreme Measures, Fight Club, American Beauty, The Machinist, A Cock and Bull Story, Run Lola Run, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Peter's Friends, True Romance, Trainspotting, Blue Velvet, Pulp Fiction, Withnail and I, The Breakfast Club, The Royal Tenenbaums, If..., Goodfellas, The Lost Boys, Flatliners, Yellow Submarine, Lost In Translation, Million Dollar Hotel, Juno, SNAKES ON A PLANE

Baseball Caps: The Full Experience

I typed this as a response to Debs's latest blog post re: baseball caps on the over-20s being wrong. I don't want to take up a large amount of comment-space on her blog with my ramblings, so I'll post...

Electro Mice

I thought I should notify you of some additions to my dysfunctional, semi-hairy family. The flat no longer contains only Craig, Sam and me. We're all a bit hairy but not quite hairy enough because Luc...
