About Me

Uwe was born in Stuttgart Germany. At the age of 12 he started to take guitar lessons. Three years later The Rolling Stones crossed his home town during their European Tour in 1976:"The Stones blew me away and I knew from there on Rock'n'Roll would be my style of music. At the same time he switched over to pick up playing bass in different Rock Bands around the block. - 1984 he joined the band "Helter Skelter" a local Top Forty Act, to tour in GI Clubs for about five years. - 1992 Uwe met Richard Ray Farrell, an excellent songwriter and guitar player from Buffalo/New York. "This was the time when I got into the Blues" - 1995 Jimmy Carl Black(my main man) ex drummer from Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention joined the band to found " The Farrell and Black Band" I always enjoy playing with Jimmy,he's my first choice on the drums,a bass players dream." Uwe has toured with F. and B. Band all over Europe/England and the USA and supported Blues artists like Frank Frost and Lazy Lester. -2000 he started to work together with Mick Pini ( a great guitar player from Leicester England).Current main projects are Mick Pini and Jimmy Carl Black Band.
