Funchik EX

We’re just a punk band from Tula, Russia. Playing in a band we are trying to express our ideas trough lyrics and transform our energy into music. Perhaps we live in a different reality from US and European bands, this gives us some specific features in our music and especially in lyrics, but global problems are always the same. So we take our inspiration from lots of groups such as Pennywise, NOFX, Bad Religion, No Fun At All, Rise Against, Rufio, Lag Wagon, BigWig. The participants of the band also love various bands – Ramones, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Vandals, No Use For a Name, Rancid, Anti-Flag, Toy Dolls and on and on. All this bands influenced us in a way. It’s difficult to earn money for living from doing your favorite business if you are a musician (I mean rock-musician) in Russia. So we are trying to study and work and give all our free time to music playing concerts and recording songs. All our songs are freely accessible in the Internet. We spend all our money for music hoping that someday they will return :) Of course money is a not the main issue, the main thing is that we are doing what we like. That’s great.
