Making Music, Sharing Dreams, Changing Lives…T'Lark is a young, talented singer/songwriter who was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She is of Mayan Indian, Cherokee Indian, and Irish/ Scottish descent. She moved to the LA area with the hopes of becoming a singer who can share her powerful dreams and hopes for the future through her lyrics and music. T'Lark has her own sound with a folk/rock/acoustic/alternative vibe. She attended the L.A. County High School for the Arts and will be moving in August, 2008 to Liverpool, UK to study voice/music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. T'Lark's sound incorporates cultural influences from all over the world, and she performs in english, spanish, and even Arabic. An eclectic group of current and past musicians have influenced her compositions including Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Jewel, Chrissie Hynde, The Corrs, Sara McLachlan, The Velvet Underground, The Clash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Michelle Branch, and favorites from the “land of soul†– Dr. John, Irma Thomas, The Neville Brothers, the Marsalis family, and Better Than Ezra. Whether singing House of the Rising Sun acapella or entertaining an audience with an upbeat, self-composed melody, you will be enthralled with her ability to communicate true emotion.
