About Me

My name is Todd Morse. I used to have a personal page up on MySpace, but I felt like it was wasting too much of my "creative time". I decided I would make this new page and use it as a journal/tour diary, if only to force me to document (i.e. remember) all the incredible experiences I have been lucky enough to be part of. I have been writing and playing music for almost 18 years and let me warn you; it would be impossible to tell you anymore without sounding like a "name dropper", so here goes. The main band I am involved with currently is "Juliette And The Licks", but for 10 years I toured and made records with "H2O". I also have a side project with my good friend Cone from "Sum 41". It's called "The Operation M.D.". The crazy road that music has taken my down has led me to experience some incredible highs. From touring with some of my favorite punk rock influences, like NOFX. Social Distortion, Rancid and Pennywise, to performing on the Tonight Show and Conan O'Brien. I've met members of U2, The Beatles, Queen and The Rolling Stones! I've even partied with Oasis (nicer than people say they are) and members of the The Clash (one of my all time favorites). Probably the coolest thing for me as a musician was recording the newest "Juliette And The Licks" record, "Four On The Floor", with none other than Dave Grohl on the drums. Being in the room with Dave smashing out the drum parts to music that I wrote, pretty much topped all the things I'd accomplished before. Now, I know all of your feet must be hurting from the heavy names I've dropped, sorry about that. But I have to tell someone! I need to let it out! As you probably guessed (I hope), life on the road is not as glamorous as it may seem. It's incredibly hard to be away from your family and loved ones for months at a time. The budgets are not always big enough to stay in nice hotels (or stay in hotels at all)and flying constantly makes you ill. I know what your thinking, "booooo hoooooo", "stop crying!" But maybe at some point I'll be brave enough to tell you how truly bad it gets. For now, however, I'll just keep a blog going on my current year long, world tour with "Juliette And The Licks". Along with other my other musical adventures, I'm going to keep the name dropping to minimum though to protect other people's privacy. Also, so I don't make everyone (including myself) sick...
