Theatre ensemble t a n g l e d f e e t are innovative experimenters in physical theatre and theatrical performance, working together as a unique performance collaborative to create work in new and innovative ways. Formed in 2003, the company believes in a free process of improvisation in rehearsals to devise exciting and surprising forms of theatre which has led to the company performing and leading workshops internationally. The company have created three shows to date, 'Catching Dust' 'Lost Property' and 'Emily's Kitchen.' They have toured internationally. They represented the UK at the International Festival of Experiemental Theatre in Cairo, Egypt and toured "Lost Property" to Poland. They performed "Catching Dust" and also ran workshops for mature students at an Experimental Theatre in Milan called Teatro Della Contradizione. They have appeared at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the last three years where in 2005 they received a nomination from the Stage Awards for Acting Excellence for 'Lost Property.' They were nominated for Best Ensemble. They have appeared in various venues in London including The Pleasance Theatre, The White Bear, The Chelsea Theatre, The BAC, The Place, Oxford House and Theatre 503. They have toured "Lost Property" to over 20 UK venues including The Theatre Royal, Bath. The company received a Lost Theatre Award for "Best Direction" for "Catching Dust" and have received critical acclaim (see general) for all of their shows to date. Game?, their fourth show received five star acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007 where the company also gained a Total Theatre Nomination for Best New/Original work by an Ensemble. History of'Game?: It started out as a 10 minute scratch performance at The Underbelly in association with The Battersea Arts Centre at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005. It was developed and then performed as a 30 minute scratch show at the BAC in December 2005. 'Game?' then was developed with a new cast and previewed as a one hour work in progress performance at the end of Januray 2007 at The Place in Euston. It was then developed further and ran for three nights at Theatre 503 on June 14th/15th/16th 2007. The next showing was at Latitude Festival 14th-16th July and for one night only at The Hat Factory in Luton at Saturday 21st July. Game? then made its premiere in its fully developed entirity at the Gilded Balloon Teviot at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007. It will now be touring various theatres around the UK from February-April 2008.
