Athan

Athanasios "Lyssa" Kazakis was born in Taskend REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN(unfortunately) and made his first acquaintance with the guitar at the age of seven. Although he had taken a few guitar lessons from his older brother, it was not before his father, as a present, provided for Athan his first guitar lessons. In 1983, he was given the chance of taking (receiving) some guitar lessons from Kostas Papadimitriou ( Northwind ), and it was at that time when Athan started considering the possibilities in becoming a professional guitarist. Four years later, he finally formed Sarissa, and produced a demo CD. In 1991 Athan moved in England where he experimented with various band formations. After 6 years, he decided it was time for him to come back home. He now is a guitar player and songwriter for the band called REDRUM. REDRUM allready played with House of lords, Danger Danger, Blue Tears, at Firefest Greece plus Bonfire, Tyketto, Adlers Appetite. He is also a manufacturer of electrical guitars and has his own store in Thessaloniki, “Kazakis Guitar Works”.
