Heavenward

Pimp-My-Profile.com - Build a Slideshow Heavenward was formed in 1986 and the original line-up consisted of Oliver Müller (bass),Achim Schneider (guitars), Stefan Kessel (vocals) and Thomas Stauch (drums). Thomas Stauch is now with Blind Guardian and was replaced by Thomas Kellners.
After the release of the bands first album Within these dreams in 1991 the line-up changed once again, with Stefan Kessel being the only remaining founder member. The newcomers were Andreas Rippelmeier (guitar), Marc Schulz (bass) and Guido Gallus (drums).
The bands second album came out a year later in 1992 and was titled A future worth talking about. Both albums sold well on the Asian market. Nothing more was to happen until 1998, when Stefan and Oliver from the original line-up decided to work on some new songs with Andreas. Some three years later, in 2001, with the return of Guido on drums and the addition of Marco Grasshoff ..boards, Heavenward was to re-emerge up to full strength with the present line-up.
Because of private reasons and after waterdamages to the whole equipment, Heavenward was forced to break up with writing new songs or giving shows 2002-2004.Since 2006, the band paused again because of side projects of every musician. Rippel, Olli und Marco joined Michael Bormann. Marco also joined Trophy, founded AngelInc and did some mastering for several projects.Stefan Kessel left the band in the end of 2008.Now, 2009 after touring with Michael Bormann, the band has filled up enough energy and strength to finally record an album for 2010. You can already listen to some instrumentals, until the new singer is recorded... Have fun! Hear it loud!The type of music could be described as powerful melodic metal with bright guitars, keys integrated in the whole sound. There are also some progressive influences in heavenward's music.
