Stergios Kourou

Hello, my name is Stergios Kourou. I grew up listening to rock and heavy metal music but as a drummer I also played music styles such as pop, blues and traditional Greek music. My first band was called ESCAPE and with them I had for the first time the opportunity to taste the feeling of writing songs, studio recordings and live performances.
In 1995 I joined the band HORIZON’S END which is still “my” band up to now. The band plays a style that may be called progressive metal, but there are many rock, jazz and symphonic sounds blended in that. So far, we managed to release two albums, Sculpture On Ice (WMMS 1998), Concrete Surreal (SGR 2001) and we have recorded 8 new songs that will be our 3rd album named “Intensification”.
During all that time, from 1992 up to now, I have played live and recorded albums with several bands such as KOSTA VRETO, LONG LIVE, REDRUM, THIRD WISH, DRUMS AND STORIES, ATTIC DUST, ROLLING STARS, IT, FOTA POREIAS, BURBON STREET to name a few.
I also play guitar but only in a level that allows me to write my music ideas.
