Shock absorber were formed , by George Matikas (guitar,ex-W.A.N.T.E.D., ex- LAST ROUND) and Kostas Tsagaris guitar, ex-SICKS DAZE) at February 2006 . Kostas and George started working on some songs of their own when Antonis Kanaras (drums,ex- LAST ROUND) join the band in July 2006, and right after a month the line up was completed with the addition of Tasos (bass) and Bebis (voice, BULLDOZA, PANX POUTANA). Since they were all fans of bands like Black Sabbath, Pantera, Slayer, Entombed, Crowbar, Candlemass and stuff like that, the material that came out of the rehearsal was very aggressive and heavy. The band kept rehearsing heavily until November 2006 when they got at mix studios to record their promo.The promo recordings was completed at the end of February 2007. After that the band started and playing live in several stages in Thessaloniki and got remarcable critics for their live perfomance. The promo CD was out at May 2 2007 and the band still distributes it for free (besides mailing costs).On january of 2008 the recordings for a the first full length album of SHOCK ABSORBER started at Mix studios in Thessaloniki with Sound Engineer Fotis Demertzis.The album will be constisted from 11 songs and at the moment is being on the stage of mixing. At the same time the band hit a number of stages around greece (Athens,Thessaloniki,Volos,Trikala,Aridaia ..a.m.m)
