my dearest friend says i'm working on becoming the age of smoke and honey. with each year, i become closer to air... i suppose in a romantic, literary, poetic sense, this is a good thing. but more realistically, i'm attached to this whole corporeal existence. the body. touch. all that... good. i want to keep it for a while.i'm a writer and a teacher. as you guessed it, i mostly teach writing although i teach literature as well, not so much anymore. i blog about poetry and poetry stuff at:

My Interests

poetry poetry poetry, literature, literature, literature... art and artistic lifestyles, movies, healthy living, good wine, good friends (this should be higher on the list), my girl, my cave canem family, making new and lasting bonds, l.o.h.a.s consumership, living fully, and loving with all my might.

I'd like to meet:

i'm fortunate enough to have a lot of friends who i love around the country, even if i have so few (do you hear crickets?) where i live. that said, i welcome and invite into my life new people who are willing to give a little of themselves. i promise to give just as much in return...much love to my cave canem family out there...

meaningless survey #3 ...
"Your eyes symbolize your great flexibility. You are a creative person. You can think of many good ways to get your point across to people as you have very good communication abilities. When someone feels down or is hurt, you have the remarkable ability to help them and heal them. If you have too little going on in your life, you may be withdrawn and depressed, timid, manipulative, unreliable, stubborn, or suspicious. Some words to describe you: peaceful, sincere, affectionate, tranquil, intuitive, trustworthy, pure, loyal, healing, and stable."
consider loneliness a lull, as some secret space that jails in the mind, as a circumstantial melody: the blues of wretchedness or the blues of joy; as some totem of penitence or pity or pride, sagging from the neck like a lead medallion or a dead bird: spinning out, spinning out wire-threads or hardfeathers of confinement; as a hypnotist, eye-blind, with psychic sight and strength to unleash the lances of unexpurgated pain, of unquelled thought-quakes, or Watusi-tall dreams. consider loneliness as these things.consider loneliness as a weaver of want, as a giver of needs undefined, as some ancestral repository for a personal mythic tablet; as a nerve, nudged overgently -- or laced with worry; as a womb, wailing out its liquid waifs, its tight lips waiting, waiting . . . as a tyrant, timeless and elastic -- consider loneliness.--eugene redmond
