Close both eyes to see with the other eye. - Jalal al-Din (Rumi)

About Me

His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, will be visiting Ann Arbor. He will be appearing at the Crisler Arena on April 19. He will present programs on "Engaging Wisdom and Compassion" from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m.
- Because we all share this planet earth, we have to learn to live in harmony and peace with each other and with nature. That is not just a dream, but a necessity. We are dependent on each other in so many ways that we can no longer live in isolated communities and ignore what is happening outside those communities.-- His Holiness the Dalai Lama
My beloved teacher and guide, Babaji Nagaraj.
He has given me the name, "Krishnananda".

.."One of the ways out of the karma that holds you here is through selfless giving. In the eyes of God, it is noble to eliminate the suffering of others. You can do this in every action you are engaged in, from feeding the poor to the way you smile at the person working behind the counter. It's all part of conscious living. Be present in every moment. It doesn't have to cost money, and it doesn't even have to take extra time. It's simply concious living. Being aware of how you treat others in your everyday life. Make that extra effort to be kind. This will actually make you feel better about yourself. Do it for selfish reasons if you have to. Eventually you will stop thinking about yourself, and you'll do it for the joy it brings to others. Lose yourself in your giving.... it will free you." Copyright (2001) David Rey Echt

RESPECT
"Whether your destiny is glory or disgrace, purify yourself of hatred and love of self. Polish your mirror; and that sublime Beauty from the regions of mystery will flame out in your heart as it did for the saints and prophets. Then, with your heart on fire with that Splendor, The secret of the Beloved will no longer be hidden."Jami,'Perfume of the Desert',translation by Andrew Harvey and Eryk Hanut -

LOVE
"Love is the Supreme form of energy, and everything that ever was and ever will be. Deep in the heart of every being is a spark of the divine. This spark is in the form of universal love. Few are those who are aware of this spark, and fewer still, those who can turn this spark into a flame!" Source: Dusty V., 2-12-07

HEROES

I want to begin with my biggest heroes.... My beloved mother and father whose love, support and inspiration has always been my bedrock in life. And......... Those who love without conditions, Those who share their love and light freely, Those who tirelessly work for peace, harmony and understanding in the world, Those who give of themselves to alleviate suffering, Those who hold truth as their highest virtue, Those who can look beyond this earthly maya while being immersed in it.
