Before attending Berklee College of music of which she graduated in '03, she recorded a hit album ('Lamu-lamu') and hosted a weekly TV show ('Wie is er Nieuwsgierig?') in the Netherlands Antilles.
In the United States she was the Inclub TV reporter on both 'The Gossip' Swapp and 'The VIP-Hot Model Search' that she used to host on XY TV (RCN cable) in 2006.
She is now the Entertainment reporter of CN8'S Dirty Water TV.
She also has a cameo in the new Bernie & Phyl TV commercials.
Kizzy is the lead singer of the Bo Winiker Orchestra.
In 1996 she represented the Netherlands Antilles, with Curacao, at the CBU (Caribbean Broadcasting Union) Song Festival in Barbados.
Getrouw also appeared on the VH1 TV series SoundEffects
In addition, she was featured on the cover of The Improper Bostonian Magazine, and named one of 'Boston's Top Ten most eligible Bachelorettes.'
