"Do you think cats watch kittie porn?" just a thought....I dunno

About Me

I think everyone can always use a new friend or two, almost all of my friends on here are actual friends of mine, and if not a friend of mine, a friend of a friend that I have recently began talking to.I hate friend collectors and people who think they are somebody by the quantity in their friends purse v.s. the quality of relationships they have with them, not including bands of course, that is more business though. I am always looking to make new friends and would gladly talk to you if you send me a short message telling me why you think we'd get along and what we might have in common. I just assume you are a friend collector if I don't get this, and delete the add request.---------------------------

My Interests

Music, basketball, poker, antique stores, ART--especially sculpture, current events, politics, chess, bowling, pool, motorcycles, working out, singing, poetry, live music, performance art, tea, crappy hot chocolate (I hate the good stuff), friends, parties, drinking, dating, meeting new people, etc....

I'd like to meet:

I am picky about those that I call friends though. I have 100's of aquaintances and only maybe 10-15 friends. I am also looking to date again if I hit if off with someone, but nothing too serious...at least not at first. I say that, but then usually someone grows on me...and yeah I am in a relationship before I even realize just how I got there.

Music:

Movies:

Some favorites include The Matrix, A Beautiful Mind, Pulp Fiction, Requiem for a Dream, Donnie Darko, The Lawnmower Man, Empire Records, The Fast and the Furious, Tank Girl, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Green Street Houligans, Hackers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fight Club, Benny and Joon, Serendipity ...stuff like that.

Television:

Queer as Folk, House, Drawn Together, Basketball, Football, Pool, Inked, ESPN,

Books:

Dharma Punx (Noah Levine), Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintanence (Robert Pirsig), Better Times than These (Winston Groom), The Gods Drink Whiskey: While Stumbling Towards Enlightenment in the Land of the Tattered Buddha, Freakanomics, Art Effects, Siddhartha, S.O.F.A. catalogs. I mostly prefer to read the news, and tend to do that online.

Heroes:

My Grandfather -- my Gramps is a tough S.O.B. that learned from his mistakes. He has owned like 10 businesses in his lifetime and all were busts. He got into real estate later in life, and is now doing well. My grandfather is a hero because he always tries to help others out. He was never afraid to try something new either, unlike most people out there. Most of all, the thing that I admire is that he is a self made/educated man. He grew up on the streets of Chicago and was abandoned by his mom when he was very young. He is one of the most hard-nosed guys I know, but is still a real softy on the inside.
