I am here for Friends

About Me

I have been married to my husband for forty years now. He is from Tipperary in the South of Ireland and we like to travel back there at least once a year to visit family and friends. I have worked for most of my life and now I am taking the time to do the many things I enjoy. As a matter of fact I don't know how I found the time to work. I had a wish list of things to do before I reached the big 60. I didn't manage to tick everything off but I had a damned good try. A trip to Paris and Versailles was top of the list - we went in 2000. Learn to swim was number two - I now do at least 500mts twice a week. Not much for some I suppose but it's great for me! Number three - write a book. Well I managed 50,000 words - not that I'll do anything with them. But there you go. Write a song was number four - well I've written a few and with the help of Magix's Music Maker the're on a disc - it's just a pity that I can't sing. I saw my favourite singer(Willie Nelson)on the 27th of January at the MEN Arena and that's another first for me.

Music:

I am an avid country fan and just love Willie Nelson's music. I like the Scissor sisters and James Blunt oh and Meatloaf. I guess my taste in music is pretty eclectic. I consider myself lucky to have been a teenager in the sixties - that was the best time for music!
