Pavon9ne (pav•o•nine) meaning “Peacock like†is a reference to the characteristics that are possessed by this band. Their music is influenced by many genres but is firmly seated in the Indie Realm. Wayne Tweed bass player for Smokey Robinson has described them as “as a refreshing new soundâ€
The E.P. entitled “The Shaming of the True†will be made available for a “Green†release on Itunes this fall. The single “Fly Blind†is due for Radio Release in June 2008.
Originally from Redlands California, Pavon9ne formed in August of 2007 to write and record a single for Magic Johnson’s project at MCA Records. In May of 2008 they won the award for “Best in New Style†at The West Coast American Indian Awards. On April 1, 2008 they launched Apocyphilia Publishing through BMI. At the time this was written, their Copyright catalogue had been applied for and was being processed.
The band Consists mainly of Nathan Dunn (Blackfoot) (Guitar /Vocals/ Bass) and West (Rob Cruz) (Samala Chumash/Cahuilla) (Vocals/bass /programming) who has been a songwriter for BMI since 1994.
