About Me

* The logo we have chosen is thousands of years old. It is a reminder that we resonate within our world. Our actions create the world around us .We are always in motion, moving forward through time. The present is and will always remain in a constant state of flux .We move towards the future, while living in the present , thus creating our past. To have a past that you are not haunted by is to be mindful of the decisions you make in the present. This will ultimately create a better future for ourselves and in the process create a better world around us. We are defined by our choices and our decisions fuel the motion of our existence. We have to ask ourselves "What is it that I want to leave behind after I am gone?" That is what this image represents for us...

Band Members: Nathan Dunn (Blackfoot/Guitar /Vocals/ Bass) and West (Rob Cruz) (Samala Chumash/Cahuilla/Vocals/bass /programming) who has been a songwriter for BMI since 1994. They will be joined in the studio and on tour by Canyon Records recording artist Gabriel Ayala.
West's Bio:
West was born t in Hemet, California on July 1, 1971. He is a mixture of several Native American tribes, including Samala Chumash, Mescalero Apache, and Cahuilla. West is affiliated with the Santa Ynez Indian Reservation (Village of Kalawashaq), located in Santa Ynez, California.
West's paternal grandfather was a Jazz and Bluegrass guitarist, and his father is a Blues guitarist. He first became interested in music when he was 4 years-old, after his grandfather taught him a few guitar basics. His desire to become a professional musician solidified the first time he heard the band Kiss, back in 1975. West was fascinated by the LP jacket photos on the album "Alive," and seeing Ace Frehley made him say to himself, "This is what I want to be when I grow up!" His interest in guitar remained, and he expanded into playing bass at the age of 16.West considers his biggest musical hero to be Joe Strummer of The Clash and his most recent band, The Mescaleros. Strummer's use of lyrical imagery has been a valuable source of musical inspiration to him. With The Mescaleros, West believes that Strummer accomplished the monumental task of putting words and music to feelings that, for those before him, were impossible to articulate. The subtleties and dynamics of their arrangements seem to speak from experience and directly to the listener.
West's dream for Pavon9ne is to join other like-minded artists at the forefront of a musical revolution. Big bands, swing, psychedelia, disco--these were all musical revolutions, genres that really grabbed people and took the population by storm. But West wants his music to mean something, to help create a change that isn't based on image, but on substance. Strong, proud, not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, West hopes that Pavon9ne will have a lasting influence on the music industry. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----
