About Me

LONDON LIFE LIVE ACOUSTIC SET ON BBC RADIO LONDON
John Swaine from Neon Promotions:
London Life turn in as spirited a performance as ever, with second song in - "Jack no Cash" really setting the pace. The band have an earthy, punky, almost folky feel to them - songs of every day, belted out with a real power pop energy and a true passion. "The Crown Hate Theory" is a dark, brooding track, yet still carries the bands distinctive tones. The Anthemic "Choices" is another fine track. These guys are shaping up into a really top act.
Hope and Anchor Live Review:
Tonight's final act is the rather excellent London Life. These guys deliver a fast paced, in yer face pop punk sound that takes in such influences as Pulp, Blur and even The Jam - plus quite a few more besides. For the most part the music is on quite an upbeat vibe, with an almost cheeky sense of fun riding in the mix, but some songs can take on a far darker feel, with pounding toms and screaming guitar licks that wouldn't be out of place at a metal fest. The vocal is loud, earthy, brash even, adding a very real tone to the set. These guys cross the much trodden boundary between rock and pop with an intelligent take on things, allowing for a fresh exciting show that gives top entertainment - definitely one to make a note of."
