Based in Brussels, Blanc Solaire musical influences come from past musical experiences as bass player in alternative brussels rock bands and singer in post punk, cold wave brussels band called Mad Dwarf in the beginning of the nineties. Actual music like electro or drum and bass are also taking a big part of musical references of Blanc Solaire. Having played as dj formerly under the name of Kogi, Shiva Sound, San Pedro or Kodoma, Blanc Solaire had the opportunity to play alongside with Millenium Kru, Brekbit, Asian Dub Foundation, Boom Boom Satellites, Future Loop Foundation, Bong Messages, Katrien Klausing, Transglobal Underground, Buscemi, Squadra Bossa, State of Bengal, Omar Perry... in places like Ancienne Belgique, Magasin4, Botanique, Sfinks festival New Years Eve, Eclipse festival, Radio Campus party, Recyclart, Atelier 210...
But it's the past and now it's time for new musical creations.
When warm meets cold could be Blanc Solaire's motto. A kind of "sucré-salé" musical inspiration with particular sound elements like movie dialogs or elisabethan music extracted from their original context to recreate something new. More info later as soon as the musical experience goes deeper.
