SO...who is Darryl Thomas? Darryl Thomas is a 20 year old African American male who has been thru more trials than 1 should. Being a product of a single-parent home, Darryl has pushed thru the "typical" stereotypes given to single-parents raising children. Growing up, Darryl has been victimize by racism on more than 1 occasion on very thin boundaries to where it could have been doubtful.
After graduating Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School in 2005, Darryl wanted to inspire the world thru sports & the arts! Attending U of Florida briefly on a track scholarship, Darryl was pursuing what he thought was "the life," but a career-ending knee injury brought Darryl back to the state of Arkansas and there he enrolled in Philander Smith College(PSC), a small HBCU in the heart of Little Rock.
During the 1st year at PSC, Darryl got into promoting his brother "Sincere" on the local music scene under the "Phoenix Organizations, LLC brands" and got a REAL dose of a different, more challenging grind in the city than what he was used to. Promoting for local shows became a task Darryl wanted to get down & was determined to do. A couple months passed & Darryl got a chance to be apart of BET's Ultimate Hustler's Brian Rikuda's independent label, Conduit Entertainment which is based in Arkansas. There he learned a lot about the industry & still is learning from his mentors Epiphany, Sincere, Jarrod Woodley, along with others. Darryl has also tapped into working with a non-profit company called "TLP KIDS CORPORATION!"
At the present time, Darryl is a junior DOUBLE-MAJORING in Chemistry & Mathematics with a MINOR in English. The estimated date for graduation is May 2010.
Also, Darryl started a business venture of his own in June 2007 which is called A-State Universal Enterprises(ASUE). ASUE originally was a music label(YOC Ent.), but he dreamed of bigger, more brighter future in his investment. At the present moment, ASUE is venturing into music, book publishing, photography/modeling, graphic designing, clothing line(coming 2009), & a couple misc. projects.
