Very Short Movies is a Hollywood based Festival aimed at fostering the careers of emerging filmmakers by providing them with exposure, promotional opportunities and connecting them with industry professionals.VSM is expanding to a global scope with VSM Cinema showcasing the finalists' shorts online where our viewers are able to watch the 48 shorts in competition in full screen, hi-res format from the comfort of their own home as well as vote and leave comments on their favorite films.The VSM Festival will kick off its 30 day online festival on March 13th at Cinespace in Hollywood. We'll open with a fabulous party and show the winning films from last year's festival.
Each following week, for 4 weeks, we'll have "dinner + shorts" events at Cinespace exhibiting this year's short films in competition, including the Open Access event where filmmakers meet industry professionals, and ending with an awards ceremony on April 12 with the screening of 2008's festival winners.
The online audience will select the awards winners in each of 7 categories while the Jury will select the Best of the Fest Award. Cinespace will host the "after party" for the festival as well.
